The collaboration
A design studio that reinterprets its language for children.
Florian Kallus and Sebastian Schneider are Kaschkasch. Since 2011, they have been designing products in Cologne-Zollstock for HAY, Normann Copenhagen, Ligne Roset and Audo — and with the Enzo baby walker for Pinolino (German Design Award 2024), also for the youngest. For Tuki, they have transferred their design language to textiles: a Starter Cloth that doesn't want to be nursery decor but a design object — and yet can do everything a Tuki Starter Cloth needs to do. Securely attachable to the Learning Tower from 9 months.

"We wanted a pattern that doesn't stand out because it's loud — but because it's good."
Kaschkasch usually works in wood, metal and ceramics. For this edition, Florian and Sebastian spent months developing patterns, printing, discarding, reducing. What remained: a textile print in ice blue and coral red - calm from afar, detailed up close.
Design & Development 2025/26 in our Cologne-Zollstock studio. Each edition is made from certified organic cotton (Oeko-Tex Standard 100).

About the Edition
A Learning Tower that grows with your child — and a cloth that stands the test of time.
The Tuki Learning Tower has been awarded the Red Dot Design Award. It is tip-proof, height-adjustable and fits in any kitchen. With the Starter Cloth, it becomes a closed standing surface for the little ones. The Kaschkasch Edition combines both: functional safety and understated design that remains even when the child is long standing on their own.

Is the Kashkash cloth compatible with every Tuki Learning Tower?
Yes. The Kaschkasch Starter Towel fits all current Tuki Learning Tower models. It can be mounted without tools in just a few minutes.
From what age can I use the Starter Cloth?
From approx. 9 months. The Starter Cloth closes the front and rear openings of the Learning Tower, making it usable a whole year earlier than without – the key safety advantage.
How limited is the edition really?
The Kaschkasch Edition is produced in a single print run. There will be no reprint.

Machine washable at 40°C, gentle tumble dry low. Organic cotton gets softer with every wash.
